Huge Shock This November
Dear Rundown Reader,
Over two months out and we already have to talk about it.
This year’s midterm elections are enormously important. For several reasons.
For now, we can forget about who controls the House. Balance of power talk always has a way of ending up in gridlock, anyway.
No, today we’ll examine the implications of six more states going to the ballot box on November 6 and voting on marijuana.
Your Rundown for Thursday, August 23, 2018…
Midterm Elections and The New Pot Boom
Pot stocks are back in a big way.
We told you the green rush wasn’t over.
Check out the North American Index over the past five days:
And over the past month the index is up over 18%. That’s pure pot profits.
Pot stocks are surging in the U.S. because folks are anticipating a new wave of legalization measures come this year’s midterm elections.
To date, 30 U.S. states have some form of legalized medicinal marijuana laws. Additionally, nine U.S. states, plus D.C. have legalized recreational marijuana.
That leaves 20 states to legalize medical pot and 41 states yet to go full legal. But it’s only a matter of time before the rest of these states join the fold.
Six more states are expected to have marijuana measures on this year’s ballot. These include Michigan, Oklahoma, Arizona, Utah, Missouri and Nebraska.
As we say time and time again, we’re still in the earliest stages of this green rush.
There are too many tailwinds to think otherwise.
Now, turning to the markets this morning…
P.S. The tailwinds are there, but knowing which pot stocks are the best isn’t easy.
